which clematis is this?

I have lost the label. its evergreen. the flowers are pale green with purple/brown freckles on the inside. the leaves are small and curly. it is flowering 20' up hence the blurred photo

thanks Mageth but that doesnt ring any bells with me. It could well be as you suggest and it was mis labelled when i boght it. what does armandii look like? I'll google both and see what i get.

I think it might be Clematis cirrhosa var. purpurascens . If the marks are pronounced it will be the type 'Freckles'
