I showed you a picture of a bush growing on a trellis, and it's starting to come alive now, so perhaps you can tell more what it is. I would appreciate it.

That is indeed what it is and I have a huge wall of it.
Yes mine is everygreen as well. It has been green all Winter and has kept their leaves.

Hi Harli - it's Akebia Quinata, alos known as the 'Chocolate Vine'. Mine is growing through a prickly Berberis but flowers before the Berberis comes into leaf so I can still see the small but pretty flowers on the Akebia. Mine is evergreen - how about yours? They do keep their leaves but not always, apparently!
