Repotting a dwarf Lilac

I have had a dwarf Lilac for several years, and i would like to put it in a larger container, leaves are just starting to form,
should i leave it until autumn or can i do it now.

if its in a pot already it will be fine but if it is in the soil i'd leave it till the autumn when it has dropped its leaves. or move it but water very well all summer.

I would say do it now if you feel the container is too small but just be careful not to disturb the roots too much! Probably a JI no3 type compost would be best. good luck, Paul;
