Do damson come under plum, where pruning is concerned? I know that cherry and plum should not be pruned in winter (silver leaf disease) but immediately after fruiting in summer. Where do the delicious damson fit in with the pruning season?

It's a stone fruit, just like plum, so treat in the same way - they are closely related anyway, greengages, plums and damsons.
