Is mushroom compost suitable for bedding plants and pirrenials

I've read that they add lime to it for the mushrooms, so it isn't suitable for use on plants that require acid soil. It's lovely stuff, I mulch all round the garden with it, apart from the ericaceous areas. Sometimes you get an extra bonus in rainy weather - mushrooms sprout in the borders.

Oiorpata is correct in saying that there is lime in mushroom compost therefore you should not be using for plants like heathers and Rhododendrons.
