Can anyone id this for me, please? Guy selling it was at least honest and said he didn't know what it was, just that it was a half hardy "pianta grassa" (succulent)

It's one of the Sedums, not sure which.

Thanks, Bamboo, I had a feeling it might be, but I've never come across it before, in the "flesh" so to speak, or in any of my gardening books.

It's hard to see the structure of the stems and leaves clearly in that picture.

Yes, I'm sorry, Bamboo, that's about as close in as my geriatric camera will take us - I've added another photo but I doubt it improves things.

It looks awfully like my Sedum cauticola 'Coca Cola' with green leaves.

Oh thank you, Scottish - and is he right when he says it will survive winter outside?

Not sure its S. cauticola, the leaves don't seem to be quite the right shape. These just look to be oval - are they, Gattina?

You are right Bamboo...the more I look at it the more I see them being an oval shape.
I did go out and have a look before I posted too. Sorry Gattina, I got your hopes up :(

Yes, they are oval, Bamboo.

How do I say thanks?
