Always shelter from very strong winds, even in summer though - I had one that blew away once, and it was planted in the ground!

Mine didn't die after flowering - I had it for several years before it blew away.

If you like - but only if you move it somewhere frost free but unheated over winter. Even more vulnerable to cold in a pot.
