I have sown 2 or 3 packets of seed and only got a 30% germination.I have had them in my boiler room were it is warm.

Answers
Some seed won't germinate if too warm eg lettuce. Check the packets. Also, some need light to germinate.

Hi John cause could be down to several things. old seed is less successful, it could be too warm~ how warm does it get?. too dry or too wet. how long have they been sown? some germinate over several days. What seed were they?
