Frosts and winter

I new to the gardening thing, but loving it. We live in the snowy mountains. So now I am trying to find what vegetables to grow and how to keep them alive during frost. Does anyone have any suggestions. We do get heavy frosts and snow sometimes.

sorry cant help here, but welcome to GoY. Hope you will provide lots of photos as time goes on. I do very little veg as dont have a big enough veg plot. Sure some one will help you.
