Where you live, it will need protection during winter, specially in a pot. Hopefully you have a bright, frost free but not hot place you can keep it over the worst of the winter weather. Water when the surface of the compost has started to dry out, and fairly sparingly in winter while its not growing - increase watering during spring and summer. Feed with a general purpose liquid fertiliser such as Miracle Gro general purpose or something similar in May, weekly, up till mid June.
