I would think so. They are normally pretty tough resilient plants so it will probably get going properly next year

Inverglen, I'm sorry to disagree with you, but even Solanum crispum 'Glasnevin' isn't reliably hardy - mine is against a south-west facing wall, but still got damaged last winter, and I know of several people who lost theirs. As for S. laxum 'Album', well, I lost that last year. :-(

I agree with you that it should recover if it's still thriving, though. Unless we get another severe winter, of course. :-(((((((((

It should flower well next year, however we do have a severe winter forcast, all the gardens i manage here in the east mids had all the solanums totally killed off last winter, fingers crossed ah.

I cut mine right back after it's flowered, and it produces masses of flowers the following year, here in South Cumbria. The lower branches and leaves were kiled off by the hard winter, but it still came back, and I've had to cut it back twice this year because it's just grown TOO well !!

I have a white one and a purple one, the purple one has not flowered this year and the white one has decided to flower this week! Although they both look healthy I think last winter coming so cold so early affected them both.
