Do yucca plants have large roots?

I have a large Yucca growing too close to a shed. I am wondering whether to remove it or not as I don't know if a Yucca has large roots which may grow under the shed or possibly up into the shed.

They have very substantial roots which are not at all easy to remove. We had one near a path and the path began to buckle upwards. It took quite a while to remove it and reinstate the path. Also they grow bigger and bigger so I would try and remove it now.
