I think this site is very busy tonight - it must be because we're not football fans!! Hubby has it on, I'm on here lol

Ah, I don't have to put up with that, thank heavens - I'm on here because I've been stuck in all day and I've been bored rigid, lol!

I was going to read my book while the footy was on, but I got sidetracked. I'd rather be on here anyway!

Your right Sheilar, it's been footie all night. I bought two books today from the GC, should go and open them I suppose. But it's too entertaining this evening.

So was I...and it's been a nice chatty evening..:o)

It has - just like the winter, oh noooo...

I've really enjoyed it tonight. I've got about half a dozen different conversations going.

Maybe the speed of the site has made a difference - in recent weeks I've logged off because its been mind numbingly slow, and it isn't tonight.

The only mind numbing thing tonight was the footie.

I noticed earlier tonight on the section where is says 'Things you have commented on' had &amp at the end of every line (at the end of the heading). This seems to have now gone.

I'm getting that on the Wet and Windy blog - it comes up in my News with amp on the end for some reason. I expect there's a hieroglyph in the title that's not being interpreted correctly by the new code for the site, which Peter did warn us about.

Aye, you're right Bamboo, it's now only on the Wet and Windy blog - isn't that strange?

6 Sep, 2011

mind the water boatmen sheila they might get blown off course ha ha.

6 Sep, 2011

I've just worked it out - the wet and windy blog is titled "Wet &" not "and" - and that symbol is called an ampersand, which might explain why it appears as &amp... a glitch in the programming.

Ha ha Kennyboy - very funny. lol

6 Sep, 2011

You are naughty - is this a question? LOL.

You should have phrased it - "Who's thinking about gardening (and not watching the footie)" or some such.

I get like it when J. Clarkson is on as well. I have to retreat to GoY! ;-)))

6 Sep, 2011

Oh, now I like Clarkson - but Sheilar, there might be something in what you say about the footie - it means all the women who belong to the site are free to do what they like because their OHs are engaged elsewhere for once.

6 Sep, 2011

Me too,Spritz..can't stand him,or Jonathan Ross..!

7 Sep, 2011

I agree! I wouldn't watch either of them if you paid me. :-((

7 Sep, 2011

I can't stand Ant and Dec, won't watch anything with them in it. I know I should support them as they're also from the North East but I think they're absolutely talentless!!!

7 Sep, 2011

I don't like them either,Sheilar..and think they would be more suited to children's programmes..same level,to me..Lol.

7 Sep, 2011

There were a pair of goats in a field near to us which were called Ant and Dec - well suited I thought (even looked like them) lol

7 Sep, 2011

LOL,Sheilar..:o)))))))))

7 Sep, 2011

I don't know whether I like Ant and Dec- what I do know is, I don't watch the kind of programmes they're on, drive me bonkers... Not keen on Ross, but Clarkson, he's so intelligent, well informed, outrageous and dry he makes me roar with laughter.

8 Sep, 2011

I won't say in public what I think of him, Bamboo! Z:-O

8 Sep, 2011

Yes, but you've got to give him ten out of ten for sheer front - though I'd guess you'd call it effrontery, lol!

8 Sep, 2011

How do I say thanks?
