Do I need to prune an Artemisia schmidtiana

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I had this plant and don't know how to care for it. I planted two of them and in one growing season the plant grew to two foot high and three foot in diameter at the base.

it is known to spread and be about 18''-24'' tall. my plant book doesnt mention pruning so i assme trim if you want to, to keep it in the bounds of its space. sorry cant be any more help. oh it has yellow flowers apparently.
