Many leaves of my shadow plant are beginning to fold.
What am I doing wrong?

Well in the UK these are houseplants, needing light shade in summer and a minimum temperature of 16˚C. Keep well watered and misted as they like high humidity. You might want to stand on a container of pebbles with water in amongst them.
