Hi all
Hope all are well have been away for a long while due to Heart attack last Year.My question is about my Passion flower i had it bought for me earlier this year and it has been growing well in a large tub up until last week, when it started wilting as though it was starved of water but only one stem the other was fine until this morning when i have noticed the other had gone the same ( i cut the other off) it is ok for water and has been thriving .Dont know if it makes a difference but it has Lobelia planted around it .(this has been there from the beginning .Thanks

So sorry that you have been ill. I hope you are well on the mend now. As for your passion flower, is the soil in the pot rock hard? Is something eating it from below or has it been overwatered?

Thanks for well thoughts x
Chamomile soil is quite loose but overwatering could be possible my partner has been doing it for me .By the way it is in Multipurpose compost would that make any difference ,should i try repotting it ? I have 2 others in the garden and they are fine x

You can overdo it with watering. Perhaps it needs to be planted out in the garden.

I wondered if it could be vine weevil

oooh beattie what does vine weevil do the leaves on my plant just look really wilted as though no water can vine weevil spread

Vine weevil grubs eat the roots. The leaves wilt and the plant dies very quickly. Try holding the stem and pulling it up gently. If the roots have been eaten the stem will come out of the pot minus roots, as they're not there. Or you could tip the plant out and look for fat white C-shaped grubs with orange heads. And see if there are still roots in the pot.
