Offshoots are the thing to watch for Douglas. Occasionally you will see a new baby cordyline or two appear at the base of your momma cordyline. Let it (them) mature for a while and when it (they) is (are) about 6 to 10 inches tall dig in with a sharp instrument and take it (them) off with some root. Pot it (them) up and off you go. Regrettably if you don't do it properly the momma plant may die off but they usually come back in a year or two. Don't be impatient. The alternative is seed from BIG cordys but that takes for ever.
