By absolute fluke my husband and I grew amirilla bulbs from seed and now we are not sure where to plant them in our garden.

I assume you mean Amaryllis. This is a plant that will not withstand frost or cold temperatures but as it's a native of South Africa you should be OK. Go to Botany.com and look for Amaryllis, it has growing instructions although they seem to refer to pot-grown bulbs.
