Hello, they are best taken in the spring as a rule, however i have propagated lavender through the summer with good results, avoid the woody material and go for a soft shoot aprox six inch long, take some of the leaves off so you will have a few nodes and plant so the nodes are below the soil, these will root, i dont use hormone powder and they do ok.
