Can anyone tell me what this plant is ?

I picked it up from the sick corner at the GC in April.
It has not stopped flowering since.

Not convinced its that, Lilcrawford, flowers aren't right - those flowers are strongly reminiscent of Ipomea, but if it is, not sure which one.

I agree with Lilcrawford, Bamboo - I have one right next to me as I type! :-))

Yes, I actually went out to look at mine before replying. Still, I am only a wannabe gardener :)

When I got it there was no name or care card with it, hence I know nothing about it.

You can't see in the photo but it is shooting up tenderils which are twineing round the support canes.

Can anyone tell me if it is hardy or not ?

It is a tropical here in Canada. Cold hardiness is listed as 40 to 30F, full sun, keep semi-moist, fertilize every 6-8 weeks.

Definitely not hardy. I bought one, not knowing anything about it from Lidl last year. I put it in a poytunnel for the winter but it succumbed to the cold.

Well, you learn something every day - well I do anyway! Shame its not hardy - would it survive as a houseplant do you think, anyone who's grown it?

You could grow it as a houseplant or in a conservatory, I think.

I checked the RHS website, Beattie - can be grown as a greenhouse or cool conservatory plant, and a houseplant if you can provide a) enough space and b) tick all the boxes on a rather large list of requirements, so I don't think I'll be trying it any time soon, lol. Puts me in mind of caring for Gardenia if you want it to flower again...

I have it in a sheltered sunny spot faceing south.

It is thriving and doubled in size and just keeps on flowering.

I have an unheated conservatory so later on I will bring it in for the winter and see how it goes.

If I had a conservatory, I'd get one - outside in summer, inside in the winter, it's a lovely plant.

Mine's on the windowsill in the garden room. I've had it about 18 months I suppose. It keeps on flowering, and it's very forgiving. I just water it occasionally, and I've potted it on once. I suppose I should feed it too! ;-/

They're also a bit of a spider mite magnet so check it regularly.

How do I say thanks?
