Why have the leaves on my container planted Sorbaria Sem gone brown, dried up and curled? It was purchased this summer and has been well attended and watered. It stands in its large container on a graveled area and has plenty of space and sunlight.

Also, they get wind damaged like Acers do.
I removed one because of it, it was brown and crispy instead of pretty.

The usual cause is drought - at some point its dried out at the roots and this is the result. When you say you water well enough, how often and how much do you give it during hot dry spells. And more importantly, were you still watering throughout the rain?
