I would not bother this late because by the time they are ready to flower we'll start getting chilly nights. Best time to plant is last week in May outdoors, or april in a greenhouse, unless of course we get an early summer like this year.

Hi Margaret and welcome to GoY. Short answer is 'yes' you are far to late to plant runner beans now if you live in the UK. But as you don't tell us where you are in might be possible - for example in parts of the States.
