Hi, we have a plant in our garden which normally has pink flowers. this year the flowers are black. any idea's?

Are the flowers on a tree, shrub or perennial ?
I've never known a plants flowers to change colour unless its a rose.

I have known plant flowers to change colour, particularly this year - seen it in lilies, roses and shade changes in particular shrubs, e.g., deep pink weigela flowers coming out mid to pale pink. But I've never heard of flowers coming out black - the others are right, we do need to know which plant you're talking about.
