the chilli peppers i am growing are going black

Answers

The fruit of some varieties naturally become purple-black at a certain stage in their development. The usual sequence is pale green, light yellow, purple--often starting and ending in patches--orange, and last, deep red. Some other kinds turn dark purplish brown at the end, just before they start to dry on the bush--'Pasillo Bajio" is one that does this.
