Sas would you please stop 'shouting' at everyone on GoY and be a little nicer in the way you communicate.

Out of interest Primroseka, would you recommend miniature fruit trees? Have seen them advertised but not seen any commendations of them.

Hi Kildermorie, well i purchased a mini apple tree from my local supplier it actually has two types of apples on this and when i bought it in April i was told that it will fruit in its first year and it has. I am pleased with this and the reason for buying the minature one was that it only grows to a max of 7 ft and did not want this to take over the garden hope this is helpful

You can use Vaseline as a pest barrier, but I would put on a ring of masking tape first, and put the Vaseline on top of that, to keep the pores of the trunk clear.
