we have a very old apple tree and have noticed there looks like it has got woodworm in some of the branches ,these branches look like dead wood,the tree is still loaded with apples,help,what should we do?

A photograph or two would be useful for diagnostic purposes - whatever it is, it won't be woodworm, lol!
