Any polythene/ black bags etc will do, remember to puncture holes in the bottom to let excess water drain away. It is also good to use a mixture, 50:50 of a loam or loam-based compost with a potting compost. This will be moisture-retentive and free-draining. Also remember that containers can dry out quickly - especially if they are in direct sunlight or a breezy spot - so it is worth mulching too!
