I have two salix formosa small standard trees, they are in sun and semi shade, in large enough patio pots, however some of the leaves have turned yellow as well as some of the leaves look like they have a fungus or disease or something can you advise what treatment i should give them? Mike

Are you sure you mean Salix formosa - this is a prostate, creeping form of Willow which occasionally might raise up enough to count as a small shrub? As they're small standard trees, are they Kilmarnock Willow, and if so, do they have a yellowish orange deposit on the leaves? If so, it's rust, which these plants are prone to, and you need a fungicide spray which treats for this condition.
