Why are the flowers on my runner beans falling off before forming into beans

Your flowers are not being pollenated for some reason, hence they simply die and fall off. Do you have a lack of pollenating insets where you live?

Early season it is more likely to be lack of water than lack of insects. It is common early season for flowers to fall off without setting beans.

Be a little patient and I guarantee you will have many- many beans later. The same happens to me in the beginning of each year and a few weeks later I do not know what to do with so many beans.

i think maybe its too warm at night, spray the leaves with water at dusk

latest RHS recommendations are that spraying makes no difference.....
