I would use Provado or a pyrethroid. There are a couple of organic remedies available here in the States to use, but I don't think that they are available in the UK.

Thankyou I sprayed with washing up liquid as was near to get anything else but this seems to have helped.

This week I was weeding one of my ladies gardens and she had small freezer bags on her rose blooms to protect the flower from all the rain and it has helped roses still look good having little poly bag hats to protect from rain.

Hee, hee, hee! Rainy old Britain, where even the roses wear rain bonnets! I keep contemplating the possibility of using miniature sombreros or coolie hats, here! : D
