I have just lost my cucumber plants in the greenhouse due to red spider mite. I sent off for some live insects which eat the mites but the silly suppliers took two weeks to send them and by the time they came today, they plants had died. I phoned the company and they admitted to having missed the post two days later. I have spread them on the pepper and tomato plants just in case but am inclined not to send off for this type of pest control again. Has anyone else had this trouble?

Oh dear, that's so disappointing.
We are struggling too with the blessed red spider mite and it's disheartening reading of your experience with biological controls, as I prefer not to use chemical sprays either.

I have pulled the plants out and replanted new ones. I did put the insects on all the other plants in the greenhouse so if there are any mites left they will be able to deal with them.

Hope they thrive for you then. I must order some biological control for spider mite too, I'd been burying my head in the sand about it, but they've wrecked quite a few fuchsias in pots : 0 ((

How do I say thanks?
