Do I need a certain type of soil to plant grass?

Answers
Many grasses adapt to many types of soil. Regular applications of compost are the great equalizer--making clay soil drain faster, and sandy soil hold water and nutrients better.

Not really,Gerwyn. Just make sure the soil is finely raked and is kept moist after planting the grass seed. Annie
