i have carrots growing in the garden there is now yellow flowers growing among them is this okay

Hi, that would depend on what the yellow flowers are!!!
chances are, if you haven,t planted them they,re weeds so i would get rid of them, as they will compete with the carrots for the nutrients, {and probably win!!! }
regards derekm.

I would remove any plants (weeds) that are growing amongst the carrots. If you meant that the flowers are growing from the carrots then you should pick the flowers off. Like most vegetable crops, carrots are biennial, ie they grow the first year and produce flowers the second. This has been a peculiar year for the plants and I find that I am taking the flowers off quite a number, mainly brassicas.

Carrots have white, or rarely lavender tinted flowers, anyway, so they are probably weeds--or maybe dill, if the plants look much alike!
