I found this on a Salix caprea the buds are cover by the bark

hi Alexandre, you say that the bark has overgrown some of the buds, the shiny bobble at the bottom of the screen, - is that a bud that is uneffected or could it be a canker?, also have you had any problems with the leaves browning but not falling? does the plant/tree in question, look generally a bit worse for wear?

Sorry i am confused, is the shiney bobble at the bottom of the screen a bud? or something that has appeared on the branch, it is not clear to tell from the picture. it could be quite important, and also have the leaves turned brown but stayed hanging from the branches without falling? another question for you, the knobbly bits that you think are bark covered buds, has any sap leeked from them? if you can tell me this i might be able to help you, if it is what i am thinking of, could be very serious.

They are scale insects, rub them off with a gloved hand.

I agree with Doctorbob1 can rub them off they are sucking the sap from your Salix. I would get something from the garden centre for it.

Ils sont des insectes de balance, les effacent avec une main enfilée de gants.
