Natives of Texas website says that it dies to the ground in winter....doesn't say if it grows again in Spring!!

It will take 10 degrees fahrenheit Nancy but I would bring it in if it is in a pot. Far more susceptible to frost than a border plant. You don't say what USDA zone you are in and us Brits aren't familiar with all of US geography but to be safe it won't hurt under cover.
