I have red ants in my plant pot containing salad leaves and loads of them in my raised bed containing peas and beans. What do I do? organic answers please. I normally pour boiling water over ants but my plants are growing!!

On plant red ants

If they are very tiny they are probably red spider mite.

Do you think there is a specific biological control for them? I will try searching for you.

19 Jun, 2011 has ant deterrent - biological control, so not a killer - for £11 plus first class postage...
I'd check with the company tho that it'll do the job for red ants - ?
As this is completely off the top of my head, have you tried to look and see if any other GOYers have successfully used biological controls?

Diatomaceous earth will eventually work, but it needs to be renewed every time it gets wet.
