has any one tried growing crinium varieties like japonicum in the u.k. ? powelli seems to grow outside here in surrey ok if protected just wondered about the other varieties

I have an extensive collection of crinums including crinum bulbispermum crinum macowani crinum buphanoides that all do well outside in the summer and go in greenhouse in early October
