I had same problem with one of my roses and saw on a gardening programme the best way to get more flowers is to have the branches growing laterally it then encourages the plant to put up side branches on which the flower buds will grow, must say its worked for my Iceberg rose got lots of flowers this year, plus feeding and watering of course. I have the same rose, a present from Grandma-in-law, bought from Woolworth's!! I've bent the stems down to try to encourage more flowers, but being a hybrid tea type it doesn't have too many anyway!
