Blackcurrant bush planted two (2) years ago has not yet produced any fruit. There is lots of helthy green foliage but no evidence of flowers/berries. What can I do to stimulte fruit.

Also, they fruit on older wood. And have you protected them from birds which will strip the fruit just as it ripens? Patience, I think and maybe next year.....
