Something is eating my runner beans! they are nipped off just as they are beginning to climb. Peas, broad beans carrots and parsnips are all untouched so what is that targets only runners?

Good luck Aboyle... you could also try those whirly plastic strips but the free CDs DVDs we all seem to acquire should do the job.

If it the leaves it could be pigeons. They do like beans and you will see peck shaped holes around the leaves. It you think it is that, you can hang up cd's or streamers to scare them off. Otherwise slugs?
