im growing beet spinach and is probably 8inches high now,do they grow like beetroot-underground or is it,as it says,like spinach and just leaves.thanks in advance rob

I believe you mean chard or something similar. They do not have a bulbous root like spinach, they are grown for the leaves. You can start harvesting the outer leaves now, and they will keep producing more leaves.
