Its my first year at growing potatoes in bags. I have planted Maris Peer which are earlies and Maris Piper are Maincrop. They have got flower buds appearing. I know I have to wait until they have flowered but do I have to wait untill all the leaves have died off and gone yellow? Hope someone can come to my rescue......

Rule of thumb is 12 weeks from planting for early potatoes and 14 - 18 weeks for main crop. As they are in grow bags you can gently work you hand into the soil and see if you can feel the potatoes to get an idea of their size.
