My 2 sloe trees have produced some strange looking "fruits". They have had their flowers and the leaves have come in, there are rudimentary sloes forming. These "fruits" look like light green cashew nuts and are hollow inside. They have not been on these trees before. One is 12 years old the other 4. Any ideas on what these "fruits" are please?

Could you put up a photo please and do you mean a blackthorn which is the hedging plant that produces sloes.
