Lavender
Lavender
Asked on 20 May, 2007
Hi, My Lavender has been flowering for the past week!! And it's meant to be a tender one (I forget the name, has long "ears"), so not only has it overwintered without any problems but it now appears to be getting a head start on many of my other plants!! All down to climate change I guess....has anyone else noticed this??

Lavendula Stoechas (French Lavender) or the one with 'bunny ears' does flower earlier than English Lavender, if it is a hard winter it might not survive. Three of ours died over the winter and three survived.

Hiya, I have a few Lavender in full flower too and have noticed others around the area. I do not go with climate change, we just had a warmer than usual spring here. My garden in general is about 3 weeks ahead of itself, next year could be totally different.
