I split mine a month ago Scotsgran and now have 8 lovely fresh plants. They seem to take very well to splitting.
not sure about cutttings though.

When they have finished flowering you can split them. That's the easiest thing to do and they normally do well.

I am glad you asked this Scotkat as I to had been wondering about dividing them thanks.

so had I!-- I want to keep them in pots and thought of combining the gorgeous colours......

I havn't put them out yet and the're crowded together lookin gorgeous all together.....
