I have what I think is 'Froghopper' lavae on some my plants, little yellow beasts in the infamous 'Cuckoo Spit'. Are these harmful or harmless to my plants as they do seem to be eating them? I've just been removing them by hand as I spot them, is this the best way to rid them???

They do suck the juice from plants and as such may pass on virus from one plant to another. However, in small numbers they do little harm. Personally I ignore them unless they reach plague proportions.

How do I say thanks?
