If you are asking why its wilting, it just wants watering! they need lots when newly planted.

I found the original question later on, Steragram. I think it was
"should I cut the flower off, and if so, where?"

I would cut it off as close to the ground as possible.

thank you to all of you who have given me the advice. i will cut it close to the ground. The picture makes it look straggly as my husband had just cut twenty stalks from it about ten minutes earlier. it was very big.
