my bottle brush looks as if its given up the ghost looks very brown no flowers but some of the branches are not dry and brittle can i save it (think the frost got to it)its over 13 years old

I've got one like that in a client's garden - but it had some green left near the base, so I cut off all the dead bits and am now waiting to see if it starts growing strongly or gives up the ghost completely. Remove any obviously dead growth - if you're not sure, wait another couple of weeks and do it then.
