I've got a habit of putting fruit stones in pots and this popped up and I can't tell wether it's a peach, plum or nectarine...does anyone have any idea of what it could be?

they are all closely related so sorry I cant help. perhaps some one might be able to. can you poke gently down to the soil and see what the remains of the stone looks like? You'd elimante at least one choice. plum stones are almond shaped.

Looks like either a plum, or a pluot--a plum/apricot hybrid (probably accidental).
