Yes, it's blowing a gale and raining here too. There are fallen leaves everywhere! I have so much work in the garden to catch up with - but NO chance!

It is very grey and trying to rain, here in Peterborough, but regardless, I planted 3 very large pots of plants, for the front of the house. I am happy!

Absolutely chucking it down in North West London. Grass looks nice and green despite the fact that it has a carpet of leaves

After the rain (superb rainbow, double one, horizon to horizon) the sun was very warm. Collected up some Cyclamen for Kath and wandered round the estate. Everywhere is very soggy. Got a good picture of a kestrel though!

I just had continuous grey. It might have rained in the morning as the pavement looked damp, but nothing extreme.

Hello. It has rained heavily and blown a gale here in Southampton, UK all day and my garden is rapidly disappearing under leaves. It is said that the weather is going to improve greatly tomorrow and more mso as the days go by this week so maybe I shall be able to continue planting the new plants I have bought on Ebay (if I can keep the leaves off a patch of flower bed long enough!)

Here in northern Spain it rained on and off for most of the day then a lovely little "window" opened up in the weather in mid-afternoon so we went for a short walk and picked blackberries. After we returned to the casa it started raining again, then became a storm with thunder and lightning which must have struck a tree as it started a small fire on the mountain about half a mile away. The heavy rain soon brought it under control but we'll check out damage later today if we get another "window." Luckily we'd picked a lot of Gardeners' Delight tomatoes the day before so I used the ripest ones for soup.

Hi Scotkat. Yes, the weather's been quite nice in parts today - looking a bit cloudy now. We live in a small village up a mountain in the Picos de Europa range in northern Spain, approximately 25kms inland from the coast which is called the Costa Verde - "verde" because it's very green in comparison with the rest of Spain's regions and it's green because it rains more here.

By the way, I also like to knit and crochet. Are you familiar with www.knitty.com? Great free patterns.

Happy gardening!
